Janet Schroeder


Janet has been studying Neurosomatic Therapy for over 20 years and  has been mentored by Paul St. John. She integrates over 3 decades of experience from a private practice in personal training, massage therapy and yoga.  Her practice caters to all ages from children to geriatrics.   Her patients have consistently obtained successful results after exhausting numerous other treatment methods.  She is one of only a handful of fully trained Neurosomatic Therapist in the New England area and the only one that combines this treatment with deep-tissue therapy, strength and flexibility training, yoga therapeutics, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy and Strain/Counterstrain.   Janet receives many referrals from the medical community and has several physicians as clients.

Janet holds a Master’s Degree from Columbia University in Exercise Physiology and received her massage license from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy.  Her B.A. is in Physical Education.  She has also trained with The Upledger Institute in Craniosacral Therapy.  She had additional training in Myofascial Release, Positional Release and Strain/Counterstrain.  She is a certified yoga teacher and teaches at several resorts in the Caribbean. She is also director of Second Chance Animal Rescue of CT which has rescued, rehabilitated and successfully placed over 600 dogs and cats in the last few years.
